I hope you have enjoyed my past few posts and DIYs leading up to the reveal of my sweet niece, Abby's "study space" reveal. This is basically a little nook in her room that we transformed to a spot where she can do homework, read, color and the best part is...it can grow with her.
We basically chalk painted everything! All of the items were furniture and/or pieces found in my parents garage that were collecting dust and just waiting for a home.
The desk chair was chalk painted in a soft, sunny yellow, a color we pulled from her duvet cover.
Next, I painted the desk a nice bright white inspired from a picture we saw in Pottery Barn Teen. We replaced the drawer knobs with ones we found at Hobby Lobby to give it a more girlie look.
Lastly, we used an old frame and created a fun memo board using chicken wire. It was a great way to add a bit of personalization to the space and she can easily change out favorite photos and artwork.
Finally, here is the big reveal. I just love the way the space turned out. It's a bright, cheery spot for a 7 year old and one that she can certainly grow with!
